The Big 2-0

So now I'm 20. I can't believe so much time has flown by. I mean look at how small I am in that picture of my first birthday! The only thing that hasn't changed is my undying love for cake. And sippy cups, duh. But everything about my life is different compared to then. I'm so not a kid anymore. I'm not even a teenager. I'm a full blown adult. Of course, I'm still having lots of fun. And I love love love college and being on my own. But for some reason everything just feels and seems different now that I'm 20. Five years from now I'll hopefully be in grad school and married. Or at least on my way to getting married. We all know how focused and driven I am. I know what I want and when I approximately want it. I want to do a lot of shit in my 20s! And since I'm now 20, I gotta get this show on the road! The era of my 20s has begun, and before I know it, the era of my 30s will begin. Turning 30 gives me the heebie jeebies so lets not think about that just yet.
Yesterday was really awesome! I went to lunch with a friend of mine who was actually my health teacher in high school. I know it sounds weird, but I've known her for a long long time. She treated me for injuries all through soccer and I service worked for her class my senior year. I'm so glad I got to see her before I leave for school! I also spent time with my friend Cayla. She's so awesome! She got me these balloons that said "happy birthday bitch!" I was laughin at those. I also got to talk to my cousin on the phone for a bit. It was nice to hear about her life instead of facebook stalking her all the time. Lolz. Then I came home for the birthday tradition that has been in my house for years. My mom made my favorite dinner. We ate cake. And I opened my presents! The boy was here for all of that too, which made it super special. I got a whole bunch of stuff too! I got an ipod armband for working out, a paper cutter for scrapbooking, storage boxes for scrapbooking, two pairs of jeans, a teapot!, sperry boat shoes, a cute purple shirt, some strawberry tea, and an IU license plate cover thingy. I love everything I got! I even made tea this morning with all my new toys! I'm so happy with how everything turned out yesterday. Thanks to everyone who made it special.
