Facebook Needs To Die

Is anyone else completely annoyed by Facebook lately? Maybe it's just me, but I'm honestly getting sick of it. I've come to realize that I don't even use Facebook to really stay connected to people; I just stalk the 400 odd people that are my "friends". Why do I do this?!! The people I honestly care to talk to are in my phone book so I just call or text them. Or sometimes Skype them. I don't have Twitter because I've heard it's confusing and I don't have time for confusing shit right now. I have enough accounts for various sites to keep track of. When the time comes, I'll probably get a Twitter, but for now, it's on hold. Anyway, Facebook has been driving me up a damn wall lately and here's a few reasons why:

1. People say the dumbest shit in their status. Sometimes my news feed makes me feel like I just lost a few brain cells. Fuck. I can count on my fingers the people who I actually care to read their status. Not to mention that it's intelligent reading. My sister is getting really good at mocking other people on Facebook in her own status: "including 'text me!!!' in your status does NOT make me wanna text you... sorry". Bahahaa. I love my sister. She learned from the fuckin best (me) because that's exactly what I think every time someone puts that in their status. No one gives a shit if you want them to text you. Talk about sounding desperate. Some people say "hit up the cell" like it's a cooler version of being super desperate. Way to go ya loser.

2. People need to quite with the ridiculous pictures. Again my sister mocks: "it's when you put pictures up of you and your boyfriend licking each others tongues that I get concerned". Uhh, ya think? Who the fuck does that? Weird people with no common sense, that's who. No one, unless you're a perv, wants to see that nastiness. I like cute couple pictures, don't get me wrong. But there's a fine line between getting kissed on the cheek and tongues touching. We don't need a close up of that. I also hate the people who have no other profile pictures except of themselves. Why don't we be just a little more narcissistic. There's this girl that I was just creepin on who has like one picture where someone else is in it besides her. The rest are close-ups of her making seductive faces at you. She has a bf so who the fuck is she trying to impress? She's also this huge Christian girl livin the life for Jesus, yet she cares so much about her looks and appearing "sexy". Honestly, I think it makes the Holy Dude Upstairs want to barf. I sure as hell want to.

3. All of these fan pages make me want to rip out my hair. Half of my news feed isn't even status updates anymore, it's who is becoming a fan of what. This one girl that I'm friends with is a fan of 1,582 different pages. Someone needs to get a fucking life. Ok, here are a few sample pages currently on my news feed that friends have become fans of: "i hate when i play basketball and ppl mistake me for michael jordan". Ya, because that must happen to you all the time since MJ is a 19 year old girl from Fort Wayne. I don't even understand the point of that! "getting caught smiling like an idiot when you get a cute text.." All I can think is that this is ridiculous and no one gives a flying fuck. "reading someone's status and thinking 'oh shut the hell up'" Um, they might as well make a fan page called "reading people's fan pages and thinking 'what a fucking retard'". That's pretty much the same. You can't join one and not the other, obviously. "i will always love you... too bad you will never deserve it". Huh? Gosh your life must be so damn hard... And why would you love someone who doesn't deserve it? That doesn't even make sense. Get over it and move on. And while you're at it, get a damn life.
